About Me

Welcome to my site! I am a Computer Science student at the University of the West of England in Bristol and at the time of writing am in my third year. I am currently undertaking a placement year at Jatech Ltd in Stonehouse as Software Developer.

I currently live in Bristol whilst studying, but was born in Gloucester and lived in a village called Frampton on Severn. The main purpose of this site is to showcase my commercial, personal and university work.

Mango CMS

This site runs my own content management system called Mango CMS. I began development in the summer of 2010 and completed the first version just before December of 2010. The site is written in PHP and uses a MySQL database to store pretty much everything!

I was previously running a site using the Wordpress blogging platform and whilst I liked the extensibility of the software, in the end it was just too bloated for me. Currently, my site loads the exact same content (with what I would say was a more complex UI) about 4x faster!
